When I tell people I want to go somewhere, the first thing they say is, ‘Why?’. Why not? I can’t imagine why people don’t want to go do the things that I want to do. Some people look at the painted desert and see rocks. I see history. They look at meteor crater and see a hole in the ground. I see an enormous hole in the ground and think about the power it took to create that hole. I put into perspective how far down the bottom really is from where I am. I said I wanted to go to Finland and try to catch the aurora borealis along with doing many other things. I got the ugliest, disgusted reaction and they asked why. It’s such a strong urge, I don’t how to explain it, I can’t. It’s just a dream. It pulls you in. You are either “called” or you aren’t. I was. I would like to board down the side of a volcano in Nicaragua. Crazy? Probably. Dangerous? Most definitely could be. Risky? Sure is. I want to walk the Camino de Santiago. Will I? Yes, March 3, 2014. “You are gonna be tired.” No sh*t. “It’s so long.” That’s the point. “So no phone?” Not if I don’t want one. “Isn’t that dangerous?” Only if I don’t pay attention to locals. “You mean you have to carry everything in a backpack?” Yup. Soon as I have the money for something or somewhere new, I’ll be doing it!  It is just what I am meant to do. It may be tomorrow or it may take time, but it will happen. I’ll make sure of it! (:
